Özgen returns with new community dance show: Aşk / Love

CULTURE / PREVIEWS / DANCE

Acclaimed international Turkish dancer Özgen returns with his much anticipated new community dance theatre show Aşk (Love). Produced in conjunction with Dunya Bellydance, Aşk uses a cast of professional and amateur dancers to tell two tales of tragic love: one set in a modern Roma camp, the other at the Ottoman Court. Through Oriental and Romany music and dance, the dancers will evoke feelings of dark passion, jealousy, romance and sadness.

The show is, “dedicated to those we love and those we've lost”. There are two performances on the same day, an afternoon and evening show. Best to buy in advance as tickets are likely to sell out.
